The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the affairs of the Corporation. Each director is responsible to act honestly, in good faith, and in the best interests of the Corporation in fulfilling its mission and accountabilities.

The Board governs through the roles of:

Accountability – One of the primary responsibilities of the Board is to support the Executive Director (ED) and hold accountable in accordance with formal legislation.  

Decision Making – The Board assists in making decisions that affect the whole Corporation as well as those requiring Board approval. The ED makes operational decisions, and those that affect individuals in the Corporation, such as staff.

Oversight – The Board is to monitor organizational processes and outcomes including fiduciary management and financial stewardship.
