HUNTSVILLE — A few tweaks have kept a meal delivery program for older adults in Huntsville and area up and running in the COVID-19 era.

Jenn Pfrimmer, executive director for Muskoka Seniors, said the Frozen Meals on Wheels program run by the not-for-profit charity offers several benefits, especially these days.

“The first is that each meal is individually packaged and portioned to provide a nutritious meal for our clients,” said Pfrimmer. “The second benefit to this program is that individuals are receiving check-ins on a weekly basis.” READ MORE

Live production of “I’m Still Here” aims to remove stigma of dementia

A production coming to the Algonquin Theatre on March 9th will share the experiences of people living with and supporting those with dementia. Muskoka Seniors offers ways for isolated seniors to connect with others

Huntsville Doppler (October 18th, 2019) - “She’s an angel…a real life saver. I don’t know what I would do without her!” said a local senior who receives a weekly visit from a volunteer with the Muskoka Seniors friendly visiting program. Approximately two dozen participants in the program gathered at Faith Baptist church recently to fill 30 bags with a variety of gifts that they’ll deliver to patients at the hospital who have an unexpected stay.
