**Our Volunteers**

The services we provide at Muskoka Seniors would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. We are very thankful for the many volunteers who donate their time to our organization.
Many of our volunteers are seniors themselves. We are fortunate to have a high volunteer retention rate. We believe this is because the relationships our volunteers develop with our clients are mutually rewarding; the time commitment can be as little as a few hours per week, which tends to be manageable for those with busy schedules.
If you are interested in joining our volunteer community, there are two ways to fill out our volunteer application form.

**Volunteer Transportation Drivers**

At Muskoka Seniors, we understand the importance of providing seniors with reliable transportation. We are dedicated to helping seniors stay connected to their communities and maintain their independence. By joining our organization as a volunteer, you can make a real difference in the lives of others.
Our transportation service allows those who need a ride to a medical appointment, conduct daily errands, or attend Muskoka Seniors social programs to do so with ease. Volunteers are able to support those with their independence while providing safe and reliable transportation services.

Friendly Visits

At Muskoka Seniors, we know the importance of having regular interactions with others and the meaningful role it can play in someone’s live. Volunteering as a friendly visitor may support someone with a connection outside of family members, someone who may need a helping hand for a period of time, or perhaps someone who lives in an isolated area and doesn’t connect with others often.
It is our goal to match volunteers and clients who share similar backgrounds and interests to support one another in weekly meetings. You will be able to build relationships, provide emotional support, and help them stay connected to their community.
